Government Offices Closed to Public
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Clayton Government Offices will be closed to the general public starting on Monday, March 23rd until April 12th, or further notice. Emergency personnel will continue to work regularly scheduled shifts. To speak with a police officer for non-emergency purposes, please call the non-emergency dispatch number 937-225-4357. All correspondence options including telephone, email, etc., with the city will continue to be open and available for our residents and business partners until further notice. City staff can be contacted electronically during this time through the general email, email@example.com, or they may email departments directly using the city directory at clayton.oh.us/directory.aspx. City administrative staff will continue to be working from home during this time and will respond to all inquiries during normal business hours.
The Service Department in no longer accepting right of way permits in-person. Please complete the application online. Email application to Kenny Phelps at firstname.lastname@example.org any questions call Kenny at (937) 248-4374.
The Development Department is no longer accepting permits in-person.
All permits may be paid online.
Parks remain open as long as social distancing is observed. However, due to Governor DeWine order, all play-gyms and swing sets are closed and can not be used until further notice.
Janice Ward Community Center

Meadowbrook at Clayton
Meadowbrook at Clayton has closed the rental facility, indoor golf simulators and golf course which include league and club fitting until Sunday, April 12th. Montgomery County Building Department is closed for the minimum 2-weeks. New applications are not be taken at this time. However new applications may be mailed and reviewed once the office is open. Phones are being answered with a small office staff to answer questions, however they’re not taking walk in traffic. All permits that are currently in the process will continue to be reviewed by plans examiners off site and there is a limited number of inspectors that will be in the field to continue to do inspections until further notice.
