Clayton Declares State of Emergency


Clayton took the proactive step at last night’s regularly scheduled Council meeting to declare a state of emergency as a result of COVID-19. There are no known positive tests in the Clayton area, however this declaration ensures Clayton officials have the appropriate staffing levels and resources to continue protecting the health and safety of our entire community during this quickly changing health emergency. In addition to declaring a state of emergency, Council has closed the city offices, from March 23rd-April 12th, have cancelled the annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 11th and have suspended all operations at Meadowbrook at Clayton.
