Snow Ordinance after 2" of Snow
As a general rule of thumb, vehicles may return to parking on the street approximately 48-hours after the snow fall has ended. Any questions please contact the Clayton Police Department at 225-HELP(4357).
Clayton has over 220 lane miles to clear during winter storms. Plows remove snow first on major roads then move to less traveled roads. At very low temperatures, Clayton pre-wet the roads. Avoid leaving cars or trash cans on the road to help plow crews clear the streets. During a 2” or great snow fall event vehicles must be removed from street. Don’t crowd the plow! Leave distance behind and around our snow trucks. Help us keep you safe this winter season!
