Amanda Zimmerlin began her employment with the City of Clayton in March 2020. Ms. Zimmerlin received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. Prior to joining the City of Clayton she served as the Assistant City Administrator: City of Springdale, Hamilton County; Assistant City Manager: City of Madeira, Hamilton County; and as Assistant to the City Manager: City of Xenia, Greene County. These earlier experiences served to strengthen her skills in the areas of Project Management, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Planning and Zoning.
Ms. Zimmerlin is currently a member of the Ohio City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association. Ms. Zimmerlin has served in several capacities on various boards and commissions. She has served as the Vice President of the Miami Valley Risk Management Association; Secretary of the Center for Local Government Benefits Pool Consortium; and on the City of Brookville Civil Service Commission. Mrs. Zimmerlin was awarded the 2019 Early Careerist Award from the Greater Cincinnati Area-American Society for Public Administration.
When Amanda is not serving the City of Clayton she enjoys spending time with her husband James and their four children.
